More party dogs

What do you get when you mix all the following crafting items from the Hen House?

Another party dog card, of course.  This one will be part of my July Fast and Fun technique class where participants will learn how to use Perfect Pearls and make washi tape banners.

Lazy party dog

Lost Coast Designs make some very quirky vintage stamps.  Here are a few photos of two of my favorite sets.  You can find these and more at the Hen House.

I am loving washi tape so I used some to create a background and frame for one of the party dogs.  Fun, huh?

Fun with color mixing

I decided to use the Distress Ink Spring collection in my July class (along with a bunch of other Hen House products -- Archival ink, perfect pearls, Distress reinker, MME wash tape, mini mister, American craft fabric paper, Memory Box paper, Dylusion stamps and Paper Smooches stamps.)

The trees in the Memory Box paper reminded me of the trees in the Paper smooch collection so I had to figure out how to put them together in one card. By mixing the Distress Inks together in different combinations, I came up with two versions.  Which one do you like?

Margarita ville

The Hen House carries Rubbernecker stamps.  They are famous for quirky sayings.  This new line was particularly sassy.  I shared the card I made yesterday with the Wednesday card ladies but I wanted you all to see the other fun stamps available.

 Here's the card I made.

Wacky Wednesday Women

Another fun night with the Wacky Wednesday ladies.  They are all such a delight!  And so darn talented.  Here are some of the cards...

Debbie designed this super intricate card.  Look at the detail on the tools.  The ruler is actually stamped on wood.  I just love it.  And since my dad could fix almost anything, it reminds me of him.

This is a great card designed by Heather.  It actually has a flap that goes under a closure on the back of the card.  The inside uses one of my favorite Memory Box dies.  Heather is so good about decorating the inside of her cards.
Here it is open.

Below is the card that Marti designed for us to make. Recall she is the Queen of the Cricut.  I think that they should hire her to do cards for their blog.  She definitely inspires me to use my Cricut more.

Below is another card that Marti designed using the Cricut.  I just love the paper.  I can't remember what company it came from but I want to find out so that the Hen House can carry it.

This is Marti's card open.  Pure beauty!

This is the card that I designed using COPICs and Rubbernecker stamps.  Kind of makes me thirsty.

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to all those dad's and father figures out there.  This is my first Father's Day without my father.  I have spent part of today reminiscing about father's days of the past.  What I miss most is my Dad's hearty laugh and sense of humor.  Life does go on and I will always have those fond memories of my father.

My husband got up early for his Father's Day and went fishing.  He came home to these two cards on his pillow.  The first from me and the second from our daughter.

We are all so lucky to have each other.  My daughter has a wonderful father who loves her dearly and I have a great husband who was an awesome help with my father in his later years.  I am thankful!

More birthday cards

Here are some more beautiful birthday cards that I received.  Enjoy!

Marti made this cute and sassy card that is oh, so appropriate for me as I go through menopause.

Denita made this absolutely gorgeous card.  I just love the colors!

Jennifer gave me this card that we got in our wonderful SU swap club.  It was one of my favorite.

Laura gave me this card.  We were both born on the same day so we make sure to spend time together on our special day.

Mary sent me this bright and cheery card.  Aren't the chicks the cutest?

Happy Birthday to ME!

Just wanted to post the cards that I gotten this morning all before 8am!  The day is off to a great start!

This one my daughter designed using punches.  I just love it!
Debbie made me this card.  The clock hands actually spin.  Super fun!
Heather used Doodlebug dies and paper to make me this festive card...
... and look inside.  Super cool for gift card!
My husband is not much of a card maker but he tries hard to find hand crafty cards.  Isn't this gorgeous?  I am going to have to try to copy it with stamps and stuff that I have.
I am so thankful to have such craft and thoughtful friends.  I will be sure to post more later.

Wednesday NIght Shoe Box Swap

We had such a great time last night at the shoe box swap!  Great food, great cards, and great company.  We laughed and made cards for over 3 hours.  I really enjoyed myself.  Take a look at what we did...
Debbie made designed this popcorn card.  Doesn't the popcorn look real!!
Debbie also did this 3D sympathy card.  Elegant design isn't it?
Here is the card I designed, a gate fold.  It is open above and closed in the photo below.
Denita did this fancy fold card.  She said she was inspired by a card I am doing in my June class.  She really took it to the next level!
Heather had kits for us to make this adorable bird card using My Favorite Things dies.  I love it!
Heather also had us make this simply lovely card using a Memory Box die!  Here is a close up of the flowers.
Mary designed this pet sympathy card.  What a great idea!
Marty designed this chic square card and..
this very country home feeling card!  I just loved them both!
Can't wait to get together with them all again soon!
