Metallic embossed dots

Yet another fun embossing folder technique that I will be sharing in my January Fast and Fun Technique class.  I learned this technique from my cousin, Angela about 6 months ago at a Stamp camp.  It is super easy with stunning results.

Fun with the Fairy

Finally got to play with my Stamping Bella fairy.  She will be one of the cards at my January Fast and Fun technique class.

Sorry...
Not the best photo.  Can you tell that her wings and tiara are shimmery?  Also I will be showing the class how they can turn any embossing folder into a frame.  Fun and easy!!

Here are the cards that were swapped at the December SU swap club.

Lynn made a dazzling gift card holder.

Gloria (with a little help from me) made a colorful thank you card.

Heather cleverly used a flower punch to make the bows on her presents above.

Jen did some fun layered embossing polka dots for her card.

Shirley used her Honey Pop set to make a super cute holiday card.

Judy used some fun embossing and a punch window for her holiday card.

Hero Arts Catalog Party

I was lucky to be able to attend the Hero Arts Catalog party at the Hen House on Monday night.  The weather was aweful and I still had a bit of a stomach ache but it was well worth the trip.  Here is the make-n-take that Kathy did...

Absolutely delicious!  We got to play with background stamps and COPICs.

Here is the make-n-take that Charlene did....

Fun with distress inks and bling.  I just love the key background stamp too.

Here are the stamps that I just had to have...

This one with with the matching embossing folder will be used to make a card for my January 14, Fast and Fun Technique class.
I just love the house and flower with the text on them.  Can't wait to play with different inks and layering.

This last one will be used in my Fast and Fun Technique Class too. Stamps sets with matching dies are all the rage nowadays!

Janea's projects

On Saturday, I went to the monthly SU swap club and Janea taught us some cool tricks.  First we learned how to turn the Christmas stocking stamp/punch into baby booties!  I love learning how to use my tools in new ways!

We also made a shaker card using SU's new shaker card circles.  They can to transformed to almost any shape.

De"light"ful gift card holder

I used a new Sizzix embossing folder to make the pocket trim of this gift card holding card. This will most likely be the second card in the January Fast and Fun Technique class.

This is the inside of the card.

Stampingbella mania!

Look at the super duper stamps that I got at the Hen House yesterday!  I just love them.  I can't wait to use my copics or Prismacolor pencils to bring these little ladies to life...

Working on Fast and Fun for January

I'd like to change my Fast and Fun Four Class to Fast and Fun Technique starting in January.  For January, the technqiue highlighted will be embossing folders.   The first card will use the new Hero Arts Textured Impression sets.  They come with a stamp and matching embossing folder.  Here is a sample I made today.  Lots of fun and really fast.

Can you see how the flowers, butterfly and "friend" is raised?

Got some new SU stamps

I had a little time over the Thanksgiving holiday to play with some of my new SU stamps.  This card was made with stamps from the "Best of Everything" set.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Turkey Day!

MME 12 Days of Christmas

Yesterday at the Insprired Retreat, I took a class from MME using their 12 Days of Christmas Paper and embellishments.  It was fun and easy to use coordinating paper and embellishments. Here are the cards I created.

Karen's Box Holiday Card

This past weekend I  took a class from my friend and SU demonstrator, Karen Kurz.  It was a lot of fun.  My favorite was this box card that folds up to easily mail.  We colored the images with SU markers in a clever way to get a very COPIC looking end result.

I love the way the card turned out and also how easily is stands up on its own.

October Hen House Swap Club

Once again the Hen House Swap Club ladies made some fabulous cards.  Take a peek...

Kelly had fun with squares and corner rounding.
Kim played with paper piecing on top of a SU stamped image.
Mary used Distress Stains to create her lovely card.
Naomi colored her flower with COPICs  and layered some beautiful paper behind it.
Peggy had lots of fun with blue.
Donna used Distress Stains and embossed Unity unity image.
Liz had some fun making a spooky Halloween card.
Stephanie made a lovely card with a Unity stamp set and a fun quote.
Trish did some fall layers using her Nestability dies.

Due to the holidays we will be taking a break from Swap club until January.  It is gonna be hard waiting that long to see the next group of cards!

Stroud Holiday card

My cousin Angela came over this weekend for a quick crafting date.  It was so nice seeing her.  We live in the same town but we are both super busy so it was a treat to have some time with her.  She is super inspirational when it comes to card crafting and helped me design the prototype for my family holday card.  I just LOVE it!

Simply Happy Holidays

This is the fourth card in my November Fast and Fun Class.  It is definitely the fastest and thanks to some glittery paper from MME and a coordinating MME stamp (with a little SPICA accent)...I think its fun too!

Ornamental Holiday card

Yesterday was my Technique Swap Club and we played with texture.  While I was working on cards for that class, it inspired me to create this ornament card with lots of different techniques...Iroc metallic embellishments, Dew drops, stickles, Spica pens and paper piecing.  Fun! Fun! Fun!  This card wll be one of the four we make in the November Fast and Fun class.

A peak at another holiday card ...

Here is another holiday card that will be demo'ed at my November Fast and Fun class.  I love using gold leaf for Christmas cards.  It's quick and classy.  Combining a Unity stamped image and MME Holiday paper was just the ticket!
