October Hen House Swap Club

Once again the Hen House Swap Club ladies made some fabulous cards.  Take a peek...

Kelly had fun with squares and corner rounding.
Kim played with paper piecing on top of a SU stamped image.
Mary used Distress Stains to create her lovely card.
Naomi colored her flower with COPICs  and layered some beautiful paper behind it.
Peggy had lots of fun with blue.
Donna used Distress Stains and embossed Unity unity image.
Liz had some fun making a spooky Halloween card.
Stephanie made a lovely card with a Unity stamp set and a fun quote.
Trish did some fall layers using her Nestability dies.

Due to the holidays we will be taking a break from Swap club until January.  It is gonna be hard waiting that long to see the next group of cards!

Stroud Holiday card

My cousin Angela came over this weekend for a quick crafting date.  It was so nice seeing her.  We live in the same town but we are both super busy so it was a treat to have some time with her.  She is super inspirational when it comes to card crafting and helped me design the prototype for my family holday card.  I just LOVE it!

Simply Happy Holidays

This is the fourth card in my November Fast and Fun Class.  It is definitely the fastest and thanks to some glittery paper from MME and a coordinating MME stamp (with a little SPICA accent)...I think its fun too!

Ornamental Holiday card

Yesterday was my Technique Swap Club and we played with texture.  While I was working on cards for that class, it inspired me to create this ornament card with lots of different techniques...Iroc metallic embellishments, Dew drops, stickles, Spica pens and paper piecing.  Fun! Fun! Fun!  This card wll be one of the four we make in the November Fast and Fun class.

A peak at another holiday card ...

Here is another holiday card that will be demo'ed at my November Fast and Fun class.  I love using gold leaf for Christmas cards.  It's quick and classy.  Combining a Unity stamped image and MME Holiday paper was just the ticket!

Polished Stone

At a recent swap, one of the card designers used alchohol inks and metallic pens with glossy paper to create the "polished stone" look.  It inspired me to try it out once again.  Here's the card I made...

Here is a close up so that you can see the shiny glossy look of the background paper I made using this technique.  Interested in trying it out yourself?  Click here for a video tutorial.

Time to start making holiday cards.

I have made the first of four holiday cards that will be featured in my November Fast and Fun class.  Love the Unity Itty Bitty snowman stamp and the funky MME "12 Days of Christmas" paper.
